How it works
Getting a quote usually takes one short call. Here's what happens from start to finish.
-
Share your current policy
Send a photo or PDF of your declarations page, the summary page at the front of your policy that lists your coverage, limits and deductibles. Don't have it? Just call, and we'll go through it together.
-
See your options side by side
I quote the carriers that fit your home, cars and drivers, then lay out price and coverage next to each other in plain English.
-
Choose, and I handle the switch
Pick the option you like. I take care of the application and line up the start date so there's no gap in coverage.
-
Keep the same agent
Questions, changes and claims come straight to me, and I review your coverage again at every renewal.
What to have ready
- Your current declarations page for each policy
- For auto: each driver's name, date of birth and license number, and each vehicle's VIN
- For home: the year the roof was replaced, if you know it
- Any claims, accidents or tickets in the last five years
Missing something? Send what you have and I'll fill in the rest with you. Please don't email Social Security numbers.
Questions about the process
How long does a quote take?
Most home and auto quotes need just one short call. How quickly the options come back depends on the carriers and how involved your situation is, and I'll tell you what to expect up front.
Will getting a quote affect my credit score?
No. Some auto insurers check an insurance score, which is a soft inquiry that doesn't affect your credit score. In Maryland, homeowners insurers can't use your credit history at all.
Do I have to wait until my policy renews to switch?
No. You can switch at any time, and I'll set the new policy to start the same day the old one ends so you're never uninsured. Often the simplest time to switch is at renewal, so we'll look at the timing together.
What if I decide not to switch?
That's completely fine. There's no cost or obligation for a quote, and if your current policy is the better deal, I'll tell you.
